About us

Headlines-from-the-Future's main aim is to allow you to read the news before it happens. It aims to be a collaborative effort capturing the Zeitgeist of the Future. This website intends to provide a platform to the leading thinkers from across the globe to offer their predictions of the future in the format of a news article. This format forces the futurist to merge political, social, economic, technological and scientific trends within the format of a news article that paints a picture of how this future might possibly play out.

The combination of views of various futurists captured from across the globe will be analysed via Narrative Inquiry techniques to try and determine the patterns beneath these diverse ideas. In essence, we would like to capture the Zeitgeist of the Future as seen by leading futurists around the world.

An Editorial committee will guide the selective invitations to prospective contributors. The committee will consist of recognised futurists who have made an indelible mark on the discourse around the Future.

It is envisaged that a number of Annual Awards will be made, linked to different criteria regarding these future predictions. The Annual Awards will reward originality, viability, reach and significance of visionary thinking.

We hope to take this initiative live by the 2nd Quarter of 2018. In the meantime, we provide you with a selected number of articles to whet your appetite for what is to come. Please sign up to our email newsletter in the interim and we will let you know when you will be able to read the news before it happens.
